56 - House Shopping in 50 Years - J.F. Hire

The realtor arrived, sitting down with Jim and John in their foyer. They got to talking.

"Well, Jim wants an open concept, while I would love a customizable bio-dome. Some people think they're inter-changeable, but you and I know that's not true."

Jim cut in. "Okay, what John doesn't understand is the upkeep of a dome facade. In the environment that we're looking at, we can't afford to remove the unimaginable amount of algae and salt that the floating plot would cake on!"

"Well Jim, John... it's no big thing to ocean-proof a facade these days. Since the rise of the oceans, everyone's had to find innovations in that industry. It shouldn't be a problem. What are we looking for in size?"

"Well... Jim?"

"I would LOVE a space large enough to fit my greenhouse, studio, and the three dogs need  nice yard."

"Well, that would be looking at at least half an acre."

The two men looked at each other, seeming to weigh the number. "Yea... That sounds about right."

"So, what kind of air unit are you two considering?"

"We were thinking that our greenhouse would allow for about fifty percent of the Oxygen filter-- but that's the great thing about the bio-dome."

Jim chuckled. "Here we go... John, we don't NEED a bio-dome!"

"--YET! You've heard the news. Ozone levels are increasing, radiation is pockmarking our atmosphere faster than we can synthesize one. If we can just create our own little world..."

"Gentlemen-- Okay. I think I have a good idea as to what you're going for. I have two words for you... 'The. Hamptons.'"

The two men nodded, ready to get to house-hopping.
