41 Dr. Who - RT Shores (Whovian Fiction)

Are you a Whovian?

What a bunch of geeks! I thought to myself. Why had I agreed to go to this with the kids? Who the Hell was Dr. Who and why did I care? I looked at the survey I had to complete before I was allowed entry into the Whovention and tried to wrack my brain for the answers. The kids were already inside and roaming without me.

Okay, think, think...

Blink - angel statues, right...
Who says exterminate? - Daleks, right...
Who is my favorite Dr.? - Easy, Tennant...
What is one of the crossover series? - Geez! Well Jack was in Torchwood, so that is one.

The questions continued and I stood at the desk hoping I could get in to check on the kids pretty quickly.

"Good job, one hundred percent!" The young woman said to me and I was holding my ticket. I walked to the short security line and wondered how I had a perfect score, and could only guess I absorbed in unknowingly from the kids always watching the shows.

They were waiting for me at the entrance. "What did you score, Mom?"

"One hundred percent and you guys?"

"Ninety." Said my son and my daughter had an eighty five. I laughed. How had I beaten them? Maybe since I had only listened, for the most part, I had absorbed more.

"Can we got find David Tennant now?" I asked them. They each took a hand and we were off. I think they thought I was special now, for they stayed with me, held my hands.

We stood in line to wait for David's autograph and when I finally was right in front of him, all I could think to say was, 'Thank you for bringing my family closer together, Doctor David.' The kids let go of my hands and rolled their eyes.

David leaned forward, 'They'll be back, never fear.' I smiled and held his hand until he pried mine off of his.

I liked Dr. Who!
